Configuration

The storage to use: This is the storage on which the hard disks are stored. This storage should be able to store VM disks.**Caution: In a cluster setup (2 or more servers), the storage must be available on both servers (e.g. via CEPH). Otherwise, the storages cannot be moved between 2 servers.

The file format: This is the file format in which the disc is to be stored. The qcow2 format can be selected here without hesitation.

HDD prefix: More information here.

Min. number of GB: This is the minimum number that will be displayed in the order window.

max. number GB: This is the maximum number displayed in the order window.

Step size: The number of GB between min. and max. for the order window.

Read Limit (ops/s): The read limit in operations/s. This allows the performance of the disk to be somewhat limited so that the customer cannot use the entire capacity.

Write Limit (ops/s): The same as read, but for write.

Read Max Burst & Write Max Burst: Burst mode allows the customer to have more than the normal number of IOPS for a short period of time. This may be intentional if the client never creates load and only occasionally writes a lot (e.g. backup hard disk or similar).

Burst Time (seconds): The time in seconds for which the above burst volume is available.
