Geo Replication allows you to synchronize your datastore contents to another physical location. This provides the added benefit of having an additional copy of your data that is not affected by location-based incidents such as physical host failures or network outages.
It can be easily enabled and runs continuously to ensure that your data stays up to date.
The replication cost depends on the replication factor you choose. We first try to select a host located outside your current region, and if none are available, we fall back to a host within the same region.
